2k14

And since it's the last day of the year, It is a must to sum up all that happened in these 365 days. So why not a poem?

Too much smiles, Too much cries

Happy not, happy yes
Still going, never ending,
Days and nights
Oceans and land
I made my way through every path
Fears and Fright
Brittle and soft
Less than fragile
More than vulnerable
If all that made any sense
Ups and downs
And I made my way through every path
Because there was a sunshine
Every morning giving hope
That today is where you can
Make a difference
To hope tomorrow is a better day
Because today is where you can
Correct your mistake
And hope to change for the good
Because today is where you can
Tell them you love them
And hope that tomorrow is a better day.
But just more happiness in the end.

Illiteracy

Knowledge vs School learning.

There is always a difference between these two. When you acquire something from experience, or something for the outer world it's know as knowledge. When you acquire something only from your school books, I wouldn't call you a knowledgeable person, but rather just a book worm. Being a nerd is pride, when you know about everything and not just what's in your school book. That's also known as knowledge, but limited knowledge, which will help you only score good grades in your exams. Knowing that Mitochondria is the power house of the cell is not that very important than knowing that you haven't switched off your oven and your chicken is burnt inside. Just kidding.  Knowing that whether Mitochondria is the power house of the cell or not is useless when you don't even know what a cell means. Don't just swallow knowledge, try understanding it, or else you and an illiterate person can be judged the same.
School education is necessary as it helps you think in many different ways possible. There's not necessity for me to find the sides of a triangle. It's not going to be helpful in anyway in my life, but what it does is just activate all the parts of your brain and help it function effectively. So, apply your knowledge, instead of just letting it stay as some information in your brain.

Good Books.

The first thing that I would recommend anyone in order to have a happy life is read books. To be precise, good books. Or maybe that's not precise enough. Let me explain.

Good books are those which make you happy. Which make you see life in a different perspective. Which makes you laugh, which will teach you the meaning of life. Can you believe that a book can do all this to you? Trust me, it does. It changes lives. It changes the way you think. And most of all it changes your grammar. I remember 5 years back, now I'm 15, my mother once told me, "Leave me with a book alone, and I wouldn't need anyone to talk to". It was the most stupidest thing I've ever heard back then, but now each and every word she said is way more than just truth for me. Reading can make you understand so many things you've gone through. You can associate it with yourself. I mostly read fiction, because according to me those fictional characters are real. They go through so much more than me, but they never give up. They're the real heroes, the one's who don't give up, no matter what. Determination and courage is what is needed to succeed in life and those characters taught me that.

Reading has created a big impact in my life. It's hardly only 3 years since I started with reading books, and the first book I even read completely was the Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief. That's when my journey started. Journey of reading books. I've inspired many people to start reading. The main character that I've acquired from reading books is Patience. I'm not inquisitive by nature anyway, but then this has made me a lot more patient.

I would encourage everyone to start reading. It not only changes lives but also makes you life in peace and happiness. :)
