When make up isn't used just for enhancing beauty anymore

So I've heard many people use this statement when I ask them, 'Why do you like to wear makeup?'
and 95% of them said it was because they felt that it enhances their beauty. But I never bothered to ask them how it does, because it was pretty much clear that they are wearing it to hide their dark circles.
I, personally, hate 'makeup'. Sometimes, just sometimes, on very rare occasions I take out my eyeliner, and mostly it's during a wedding. I don't own anything except a lip balm and an eyeliner, and that pretty much makes up my vanity kit.

'What is the neccesity to wear make up on daily basis?'
I don't really find any need to wear make up like everyday, because there's more to it behind the scenes. No matter what expensive brand you use, cosmetics are chemicals. Even if they say it contains 95% aloe vera extracts, it doesn't really make a difference. Because if it really does, then you can take an aloe vera stalk and directly apply it on your face instead.Makeup can be worn to highlight some pretty parts of your face, but using it to hide your flaws like every day? Isn't it like being fake always? I mean really, why can't you just show up your plain blank face? I bet a lot more people will respect you and only those who like your character will stay. That way, you are surrounded by less fake people who admire you only for the way you look, and there will be more real ones who will stay with you a lot more long or maybe forever.

'Why makeup isn't just used to enhance beauty?'
Well, initially make up was invented to hide the flaws in your face and your body. And so it has evoloved itself.
Even an eyeliner today is worn today to distract people from your face, or nose or whatever. When I go to malls, or restaurant or to a theatre all I see is people caked up with two layers of makeup and trust me, I've gone without identifying a few of  my school mates because of this.

'How is it to be your real self?'
So I've seen in movies, and even in real life that girls find it a nightmare to step out of their houses without some basic makeup. Why? Just why should you be so insecure? Some people say that they wear make up to make themselves more confident or to impress themselves. Really? Can girls impress themselves or others only by wearing something fake? It is nice to be yourself. I'm not telling wearing make up is something wrong. It isn't necessary. Women aren't just meant to be pretty, we can be a Malala instead. To be known for your talent and your character gives you more pride then being known just for the 'Prettiest' and that includes, being pretty with a touch of makeup.

Personal Note: This is a no hate post. It is just my personal judgement. I feel that women are being insecure about their looks when they can do wonders with the talent they have. Don't waste your talents and time going around trying to impress people. The world just doesn't work that way. Be confident with who you are and speak to the world. We are born to do something great, now just for cribbing about how we look.
